salmon pasta

Quran on Fish

"And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful." [Surah An Nahl 16:14]

Salaam alaykum dear readers!

This recipe came about when I wanted to use up some leftovers. It should really be called "Leftover Salmon Pasta"!

It's a great mix of flavors with the blackened fish, aromatics (onion, garlic) and fresh steamed asparagus. Did you make the recipe? Comment below.

Servings: 1

  • 1/2 blackened Salmon Filet, broken into pieces

  • 1 cup steamed asparagus, cut into pieces

  • 1/4 cup diced yellow onion

  • 1 small minced garlic glove

  • 1 serving cooked pasta

  • 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • Olive oil for sauteing

  1. Heat the olive oil on medium/low heat. Add the diced onion and saute until translucent. Add the minced garlic and continue to saute for one minute.

  2. To the onion & garlic, add the asparagus and stir/saute for two minutes. Since the asparagus is already steamed you are just warming it up.

  3. Add the noodles, salmon, salt and pepper to taste. Add a little more oil if necessary and stir to combine just until warmed up.

  4. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top, give it one last stir, and enjoy!
